Is this applicable in China? Chinese homes use a 220V voltage.

The US and Canada are the only countries in which the units supplied there can be used. Even with the use of a converter, the 120 voltage and 60/hertz/frequency rates are incompatible with international currents. The motor will fail if this model is used with foreign currents, which is not covered by the warranty.

The WP-660 has a loud volume. The WP-65W, which I possess, has a noise that reminds me of a building site.

The WP-100 has a powerful motor and can operate on an empty tank for years, unless you forget and do as I did and leave it running. It works and will last, so who cares if it’s noisy. By the way, using it at a higher setting than 2-3 may harm your gum line. Even the brand-new WP-100s have a leaky tank valve that doesn’t close properly when the tank is removed, causing the tank to drip when it is taken out to be refilled. Even after replacing the valve inserts (which I did thanks to Waterpik’s fantastic service), this issue persists. The solution, though a little irritating, is to gently press down on the valve while lifting off by using the handle of your toothbrush. After that, you can stop using the toothbrush, fill up the tank, and reinstall the tank without worrying about dribbles. Simply smile and endure. Additionally, since the tip won’t be able to be cleaned, you’ll need to buy new angled wands.

I tried using my water pick, which I have, but it makes a lot of noise while operating—like a tractor in my bathroom. Is this standard?

Yes, it is typical, yet it is still beyond my comprehension. Early in the 1980s, I purchased my first Waterpik, and it was LOUD. Before it ultimately died, it served me for more than 20 years. I then purchased the Ultra model and was shocked to find that it was just as loud, if not louder, than my previous one. I don’t see why they don’t include anything REALLY valuable, like a decrease in noise, instead of all these bells and whistles with each new model. Water flossing is not a pleasant task, but the machines’ godawful loudness makes it far worse than it needs to be.
